We don’t just live in a house in the country — we found an 18-acre farm in rural Lafayette County, Wisconsin. Parts of the house date back as far as 1840, around the time Wisconsin became a state, with rumors of a connection to Black Hawk himself.
Restoring the 1840s farmhouse is the big project, but it’s never the only one. On any given week we might be rebuilding the carburetor on our Farmall 400, cutting and baling hay, patching up a building, or starting something new in the barn. We document it all here — the wins, the setbacks, and everything in between.
